Transformation

By Karen Elliott

What an exciting time to be alive and serving the Living God.  Even though the world’s stage seems to be set in a time of desperation, confusion, turmoil and unrest, we as Sons of the Kingdom of God are not.  On the contrary, we have a divine assurance of abundant life and peace through the finished work that our Saviour, Jesus Christ, completed on the Cross!  We have an inheritance that never spoils or fades.  That inheritance consists of everything we need for the days ahead and now is the time for us to take hold of all that Jesus purchased for us so that He may receive the reward of His suffering.  His death was not in vain, He paid a steep price so that we could be adopted as sons and receive the inheritance of our Heavenly Father.

We are in the midst of an amazing supernatural shift where we are being given the ability to apprehend that which we have longed for, those things that were planted within our spirits when we were fashioned in our mother’s womb.  This shift in enabling us to overcome the obstacles that have tripped us up over and over again.  There is an enlightenment that is opening our eyes to see and overcome the snares of the fowler and even those generational strongholds that have kept us bound.  To put off the weights of the past and the sin that so easily entangles so that we can run the race with perseverance as never before.  Our response is critical to moving forward into this divine transformation.

We are being transformed, from glory to glory, moving from the place of being a teknon child of God to a huios Son of God.  The place of immaturity to maturity, to the place of inheritance, to the place of adoption into Sonship!  When we move into Sonship, we can access the inheritance.

The teknon children of God have not yet received and entered into the adoption as the huios (mature) Sons of the Kingdom.  Galatians 4 speaks of the common Jewish tradition regarding sons.  ‘Now I say, that the heir, as long as he is a child, differeth nothing from a servant, though he be lord of all; but is under tutors and governors until the time appointed of the father.’

In the Jewish tradition of that time, sons were not considered ‘heirs’ until the age of 30 and this is when they enter into what is called the ‘adoption as sons.’  A son would grow up in his father’s house and as he got older learned to be trustworthy and faithful.  When the time came, the father would have a ceremony and call his son forward in front of the community and say ‘this is my son in whom I am well pleased.’  From that moment on, the community’s demeanor toward the son changed as the son became the father’s fully mature son, his huios and could act and speak for the father.

It us under this principle that Jesus entered in to possess His ministry.  When He entered the water, the Father from heaven said, ‘This is my Beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased’, also rendered, ‘This is my Beloved Son in whom I am pleased to dwell.’  It was at this time that Jesus took on the characteristics of the Father and could fully be His representative.

It is time for us to be a representative of our Father in heaven and to access the inheritance as His huios sons and daughters.

We are in a time of transformation that brings transfiguration.  We are being changed from within, our spiritual DNA is transforming, our mindsets are being reformed and we are beginning to look and act more like Jesus, being transformed into His image, and this brings transfiguration.  The definition of transfiguration is:  ‘1. a complete change of form or appearance into a more beautiful or spiritual state. 2.Christ’s appearance in radiant glory to three of His disciples.’  If you recall, the face of Jesus shone like the sun in Matthew 17:2 on the Mount of Transfiguration.  I believe there will be times when the Light of Christ in us will illuminate from us in visible form for others to see and know that He is real and dwells in and among His people.  We will radiate His Holy Light that is within us.  I’ve already seen this countenance on the faces of His beloved sons & daughters.

When we are filled with His Holy Light, His Holy Presence, we have become His tabernacle filled with Jesus Himself and we will do the greater works that He foretold of because He is fully living in us.  We go from the place of having a deposit of the Holy Spirit  (Eph. 1:13) to fullness ~holy union with our Bridegroom.

What an amazing time we are living in.  Let’s cooperate with the grace and divine enabling that our Father is allowing for our transformation into all that He has called us to be.  It’s time to begin to live from inheritance rather than toward inheritance, to live from God rather than for God and to become who we already are!

The harvest is ready and waiting!

SONS OF GOD ARISING by Karen Elliott

All creation groans in anticipation

For the coming of the Sons of God

All creation waits with wondrous animation

For this hope of glory to arise

See the lilies as they twist and spin

Waiting for the day

When they will finally be set free

From all this bondage and decay

To release creation from the frustration

That it is subjected to

With eager expectation of this revelation

To be liberated anew

They are the ones who overcome

By the blood of the lamb

Loving not their lives even unto death

Their allegiance is to I AM

Freedom is their battle cry

Spoken with every breath

These are the ones who will ascend His hill

And remain upon His path

With clean hands and pure hearts

A holy generation

Walking in their inheritance

Heaven their destination
