Separating Sons from Orphans/Light from Darkness

by Dan Goddard

(John 3:16) – Jesus came into this world sent by our Father as a gift of love to us.

(Hebrews 1:3) – Jesus fully represents our Fathers heart and nature, as well as His character and actions.

(1 John 4:16) – God is love!

(1 John 1:5) – God is light!

Therefore Jesus as the son of God is also by nature Love and Light.

(John 8:12) (John 14:10) (John 15:9) (John 17:26)

God’s heart is that we embrace Him as our Father, and share His heart and nature, which are both light and love. (2 Peter 1:3-4)

Each one of us has come into this world with orphan hearts, and the nature of sin (darkness) in our lives. (Ephesians 2:1-3)

(Ephesians 5:8) (John 14:18)

Jesus must pour both love and light into our beings; to set us free and to spiritually adopt us as sons and daughters of our Father.

Holy Spirit is both the Spirit of adoption and the Light that comes into our lives, as we embrace God’s heart. (Romans 8:5-16)

*** To be fully transformed into sons and daughters that fulfill our destinies, we must embrace not only the Fathers love for us, but also the light of His presence that exposes the areas of darkness where we still live as orphans. (Ephesians 5:1-14) (John 3:19-21)

God does not expose darkness in our lives to condemn and shame us. His heart is to heal us and set us free! (John 8:1-12)

God’s purpose in pouring both love and light into our lives is to empower us to fulfill our destinies and to fill our lives with His

joy. This brings Both Glory to God and joy to His heart as our Father. (John 15:8-11)

Father God conceived us in love before the creation of the world.  It has always been His desire that we would respond to His love,

embracing the sacrifice of His Son Jesus, so that we might be free from the darkness in our lives. (Psalms 139:1-16)

Our Response:

Father, I ask you to impart your heart to me that I might experience depths of your love that I have never known.

I welcome your Holy Spirit to come as a bright light and expose any darkness that dwells in me. Amen!
