Feast of Tabernacles

By Daniel Garvin

 Read: Zech 14: 4,9,16,17,19

This is the 1st activity to be celebrated in the future, after Messiah Yeshua sets up His world reign in the kingdom.

His feasts links us to Yahweh’s cycle of life & prophetic calendar.

 Read: Lev 23:34-43

These feasts are not simply Jewish cultural feasts…they are “feasts of Yahweh,” His appointed times “forever (amp)”, to rejoice before Him, and experience His presence.

Context: After Israel was delivered from Egypt, they celebrated Yahweh’s Shekinah glory as He tabernacle with them in the wilderness.

 5-Tabernacles mentioned in scripture:

Tabernacle of Moses: Yah showed His glory for victory, protection, & provision.

Tabernacle of David:  Initially it was a tent where 24/7 worship took place continually & Yahweh’s glory descended.

Tabernacle of Yeshua:  John 1:14 “..Word became flesh & tabernacle among us.” We beheld His glory & lived among us bringing healing, salvation, & deliverance.

Tabernacle of the Church: The restoration now in the church age of the Davidic tabernacle, where Yah’s glory is enthroned on the praises of His people 24/7.

The Eternal Tabernacle: Rev 21:3&4-“The tabernacle in the new Jerusalem is with men & He will live with them. There will be no death, pain, or tears, & no temple will be there as His Shekinah glory will extend His presence to all, & He will light up those who are pure.”

All have one thing in common: “Yahweh’s glory among men.”

What then do we celebrate during the feast of tabernacles?

  1. Experiencing His presence
  2. Experiencing His glory
  3. A fresh releasing after ”Rosh Hashanah” of revelation, gifting, & ministry
  4. A fresh outpouring of His Ruach HaKodesh
  5. A time for the bringing of gifts to the ministry of His kingdom

Practical ways to celebrate the feast of tabernacles:

  1. Set aside time to tabernacle with Yahweh & His Son
  2. Find specific times to meet with Him
  3. Spend extended time in His word
  4. Celebrate the feast publically with family & friends
  5. Share testimonies of what He has done in your life
  6. Eat your favorite food-feast!
  7. Thank Him for His blessings in your life
  8. Build a Sukkah for Sukkot: (a shelter)

-Remember that Yah tabernacles with His people

-Enjoy the fun & celebration together

-Anticipate Yahweh’s glory & expect His presence

Yeshua celebrated the feast of tabernacles:

Context: The priests in Yeshua’s time would micvah (outpouring for outward purification) with water from the pool of Siloam every day of the feast.

John 7:37&38 (Last day of the feast) “If any man thirsts, let him come unto me & drink. He who believes in Me, as the scripture says (Isaiah 44:3, 55:1) from his innermost being shall flow rivers of living water. This He spoke of the Holy Spirit whom those who believe in Him were to receive…”

Therefore: Celebrating the feast of tabernacles aligns yourself with Yahweh’s cycle of life, and prophetic calendar, and is a catalyst for opening yourself for a higher level of His glory & presence in an open heaven. This allows you to live more in the supernatural realm & to connect on a personal level, with the angelic & heavenly realm. Aho!
