Wind & Fire

by Karen Elliott

In the last newsletter, I shared about what the Lord was revealing to me about the high winds we were experiencing here in Gloucester and on the North Shore in Massachusetts.  They were relentless throughout December and into January and February.  Howling, whistling winds that roared with sound and seemed non stop.

What I feel the Lord spoke so clearly to me at this time was that the winds are prophesying of a new move, a fresh outpouring of His Holy Spirit that is imminent.  The natural realm around us will speak to us of what is about to happen in the realm of the spirit, first in the natural, then in the spirit.

I believe many of our local churches are experiencing a new level of the Spirit of the Lord moving in our services.  I’ve been hearing reports of healings taking place, and in our own church we have had a number of healings take place over the past several weeks.

Acts, Chapter 2 speaks of the Holy Spirit coming like the sound of a mighty wind, and tells of ‘what looked like tongues of fire’ over the heads of the people gathering in the upper room on Pentecost. These were signs of the outpouring of the Holy Spirit.

Just one week ago from this writing, April 6, we had an amazing outbreak of the FIRE of God at our Sat. night church service.  I sense this is just the beginning of what God is doing not only here, but in His Church worldwide.  A new move of His precious Holy Spirit that brings an enabling to the people of God to go about and preach the gospel with a new fire, to heal the sick, raise the dead, cast out demons, to begin the work of the greater works!  This move of the Spirit will bring greater revelation of who we truly are in Him, and will bring a great release of His fiery, passionate, amazing LOVE!
