Judah’s Roar Children’s Church Artwork – 2/21/09

In our project time of the lesson the children were led in prayer for preparation of their paintings that they would give honor and glory to God.

We received words and scripture for the paintings ahead of time through prayer and gave them out randomly to the children; the children took turns at prepared easels while the ones that waited for their turns were instructed to pray for the ones that were painting. As the children finished their art pieces they were given time to share what the Lord had given them for their paintings and then those of us who prayed while they painted were given time to share what each saw in the painting as well.

The red in this painting stands for the Blood of Christ; the blue below the green is representative of Adam as he was created by God, as God blew into Him His breath of life, the circular green stands for The Tree of Life in the Garden of Eden. The orange markings speak of the vinegar and the gall that was given to Jesus when he was crucified and Holy perseverance and endurance as He defeated death bringing life to all that were and are lost.
